LGBTQ + Information

Ainsdale Medical Centre is dedicated to promoting equality and valuing diversity within the health and social care services we provide to the community. Our goal is to ensure that these commitments are integrated into our daily practices with all stakeholders, colleagues, partners, and visitors. We are committed to providing equal opportunities and have a zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination based on gender, gender identity, marital status, pregnancy and maternity, sexual orientation, race, colour, nationality, religion or belief, age, disability, HIV status, working pattern, caring responsibilities, political beliefs, or any other grounds.

Our practice conducts annual training on equality and diversity, and we update our policies every year. We actively support and promote the principles and requirements of the Equality Act 2010.

It is important to us if you feel you are able to share your sexual orientation, gender identity and trans status with us so that we may be able to offer the most appropriate support to you within our practice and refer you on to any relevant services if you may need them.

Please be assured that you can speak to any member of the team about this in complete confidence.
